A loyalty card, rewards card, points card, or club card is a plastic or paper card. It is now used in conjunction with credit cards.
The loyalty card market in the UK is one of the most significant in the world, with most major chains operating some form of reward system. Some retailers with banking operations also award points for every pound spent on their credit cards, as well as bonus points for purchasing financial services.

Nectar Loyalty Credit Card
The Nectar loyalty credit card program is a loyalty card scheme in the United Kingdom issued by a partnership of suppliers including the supermarket chain Sainsbury's, the credit card American Express and the petrol distributors BP.
It was launched in the autumn of 2002. The Nectar reward program scheme was launched by the founder of Air Miles, Sir Keith Mills and is operated by the privately held Loyalty Management UK (LMUK).
The Nectar Card rewards program was relaunched in Summer 2007 to celebrate 5 years of the loyalty card.
